	Alan Newton Executive Minister anewton@crcds.edu

The Rev. Alan G. Newton is the Executive Minister of the Rochester/Genesee Region of Upstate New York. Prior to this call in June 2002 he was a pastor of churches in Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin and in Cranston, Rhode Island. He was ordained in 1979 after graduating from Andover Newton Theological School in the same year. He received a B.A. Degree in Social Work, Counseling and Christian Education with honors from Ottawa University in Ottawa Kansas. Some of Rev. Newton’s professional commitments include Cross Cultural Ministry and Restorative Justice Work and Racial Justice. His personal interests include Fitness, Cycling, Theater and he is also a weaver. He has two children and three grandchildren. His wife, Gail, is the Program Director for the Greater Rochester Health Foundation.

Helen Hoffman

Helen was born and raised in the Elbridge, NY, Community Church (an American Baptist and United Church of Christ federation). She has been a member of the Hilton Baptist Church for 35 years and serves as Church Clerk and is a member of the Senior Choir.

Helen has an extensive background of office experience, beginning with the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C., and London, England, following graduation from Alfred State College; as a real estate paralegal; and as an office administrator in the Occupational Medicine and Pediatric Divisions at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She is the mother of two grown children, Brian and Carrie, and grandmother of 3-year old twins, Lilly Ann and Andrew James Hoffman.
